Summer Football Activities and Camps

We will be offering an optional 2 day a week conditioning workout twice a week and our annual all sports conditioning camp this summer to prepare athletes for fall sports.
Optional Cross Fit Tuesday and Thursday Workouts
OPTIONAL conditioning sessions start this Thursday, June 4th, 6:30 pm, at the Sorrows hillside (located at the corner of Shiawassee and Farmington Roads). All levels are invited to participate - Freshman, JV, Varsity (Incoming 3rd - incoming 8th graders).
Social Distancing guidelines will be followed.
These outdoor sessions will be 1-hour in duration. They'll be held every Tuesday and Thursday, from 6/4 - 7/23. 15 sessions in total. Times will be from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. Until further notice, the Sorrows hillside will be the meeting place for the workouts. We may utilize the practice field behind the Family Center for workouts as well.
These workouts will consist of bodyweight movements, plyometrics, running, agility, and conditioning drills customized for youth athletes.. There will be no use of barbells, dumbbells, or free weights.
Dennis Maynard, owner of Challenge Yourself Crossfit, located in Livonia. Dennis is a certified crossfit trainer with a specialization in youth athletes. He's developed programming and lead group training/conditioning for kids of all age ranges and sports.
You'll need to bring athletic shoes or cleats, water bottles, towel, and/or sunscreen.
Dennis is going to work the kids out. They will be pushed. These workouts will likely be a bit harder than what they're used to. I'd like our coaching staff to participate whenever possible. Not necessarily in the physical activity, but certainly to encourage the kids. Help to make the better. Both myself and Chris Brower will be at most of these workouts to supervise, cheer the kids on, and may even participate?
To help offset the cost, there will be a a flat fee of $25 per child. The $25 is to be paid up-front. You can attend all 15 workouts or a handful, whatever your schedule allows. This can be paid directly to myself or Dennis. Paypal is also acceptable at: nkallas94@gmail.
A waiver that can be found under our documents section of the website needs to be completed and signed. This can be emailed to Nick Kallas (email@example.com) , Dennis (firstname.lastname@example.org), or handed to either of us in person.
We need to receive BOTH the waiver and $25 fee before your child can participate.
Please plan on having the kids get involved. Nothing better than shutting off the video games, stepping outside in the fresh air and sunshine, and getting some exercise in.

Annual Fall Sports Conditioning Camp
Our Annual Fall Sports Conditioning Camp is August 3rd- August 7th, 2020. The Camp will run 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Our Lady of Sorrows Athletic Field. Proper Social Distancing will be adhered to. Registration deadline to receive a camp tee shirt is July 15, 2020. You can register by going to www.nwcatholicfootball.com. You must sign in if you have a website login or create a login and then add a registration for Conditioning Camp. This is open to boys and girls grades 3-8 who participate in any sport.
Equipment will be handed out During the Conditioning Camp the week of 8/3-8/7/2020. You will need to have your physical form dated after 4/15/2020, concussion awareness form and CYO Assumption of Risk Form and your $150 Refundable Equipment Deposit made payable to OL Sorrows Athletics in order to pickup your equipment.
Practice officially starts 8/10/2020.
